We have set March 29th as the date of the 2008 OSH Spring Meeting. It will be held at the LaQuinta Inn on south Meridian. Start planning your schedule to attend. You may now join OSH online. If you have not yet paid your 2007 dues go to the Sign Up Page and do it now. It is our desire to have a complete and accurate name and address on file for all our histotechs. If you haven't been getting the HistoInformer please email your corrected address (and email) to the membership chair.




The Oklahoma Society of Histotechnology is a constituent state society of the National Society for Histotechnology. We are an independent non-profit organization founded in 1976.

The purpose of this Society is as follows:

  • Gain greater professional recognition of the Histotechnologist
  • Encourage and develop a higher standard of skills
  • Cultivate feelings of friendship among the profession

The objectives of this Society are the following:

  • Encourage persons to enter the profession of
    Histotechnology and to further education in the field
  • Promote professionalism and encourage a better
    relationship with Pathologists and hospitals
  • Freely exchange our technical knowledge and expertise
    with all those who seek it
  • Encourage all members to publish technical material
